Richard Fanelli is a fine artist and architect and a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Art, now called the Philadelphia University of the Arts. He has been an instructor at George Mason University, Mount Vernon College and the International Facility Management Association.  Richard has been painting since he was 15 years old and grew up with artist parents who also attended the Philadelphia College of Art.  Richard remembers growing up with the smell of oil paint and turpentine in his many painting journeys to art studios with his parents.

In more recent years, Richard has studied landscape painting and portrait painting under well-know professional artists which include Adrienne Wyman, David Lussier, Robert Liberace and Bethanne Kinsella Couple.

Lighthouse Painting

“What motivates me to paint a landscape is capturing the unique character and beauty of the scene in combination with architectural features, variety of color, lighting that creates a mood, balanced composition, and textural elements. Many of my paintings are inspired by what I see in my travels around the world.”

I offer on this online sales page both original paintings and reproductions.

Full-size, high-quality prints are available for most of my non-commissioned artwork. When placed side by side to the original, the prints are hard to distinguish from the originals.  Allow two to three weeks for delivery of the prints which come as stretched canvas for those whose originals are done on stretched canvas.  It’s an economical way to enjoy the artwork at a fraction of the price from owning the original.
